In the past the village of Nerezine has gradually developed from agricultural and sheepherding settlement to sea orientated place known for ship building and skilled craftsmen. In the village there is a marina, and the old shipyard is still opened and in function.
Nerezine are dominated by a bell tower of the Franciscan church with monastery. The church interior hides many sacral works of art, among which stands out the painting of the unknown Venetian artist dating to 15th century - Madonna and Child.
