Attractive little holiday destination, placed along two beautiful bays. It lays on the southern side of the island, exactly 10 km away from the town of Vis. This peaceful, enchanting with little port, with many beaches, in the near of many small islands was originally a fishermen's village which recently changed into a small holiday destination with small houses surrounded by green gardens. Tourists can reach it by two asphalted roads that stretch over the hills and green valleys.

Besides crystal clear sea and beautiful beaches, only a short walk away, this is also a great starting point for excursions to nearby islands and islets or to the picturesque places in the inland that still bear the characteristics of the past.

Must see in Rukavac is Srebrena beach, the most beautiful beach on the island, and also be sure to visit islet Ravnik with natural phenomenon Green cave (Zelena špilja).
