Island of Hvar with its size of 299.6km2 is the 4th largest island of Adriatic, and its length of 68km places it on the 2nd place. In front of the western side of the island  is a group of islands called Pakleni islands, and on the western side in front of the central part is small island Scedro. Island boasts with very pleasant climate with 2718 hours of sunshine a year and proudly wears the title of the sunniest island of eastern Adriatic.
