Northern Dalmatia stretches from the island of Pag on the north t the River Krka on the south. Veleit mountain divides the coastal part from the inland that lowers to planes of Bukovica and Ravni Kotari.
The area of Northern Dalmatia has been settled from ancient times and there are many archeological sites, antic settlements, roman monuments and preserved cores of mediaeval towns in evidence. True historical pearls of this region are the Cathedral of Šibenik (protected by UNESCO), church of St. Donat which is a symbol of the city of Zadar (monumental building from the early Medieval) and the Cathedral of St. Stošija in Zadar, the biggest church in Croatia.
Within the Northern Dalmatia Region there are 3 National parks: NP Krka, NP, Paklenica and NP Kornati. During your stay plan to visit at least one of these wonders of nature, and believe us, you won't regret it. NP Kornati is best to visit by boat, NP Krka will leave you speechless by the beauty of its waterfalls.
