After Istria, Peljesac is the second largest peninsula of the Croatian Adriatic (total size 348km²). Placed between Neretvan an Malostonski canal and with Peljesac and Mljet canal from the islands of Korcula and Mljet. Peljesac stretches from the isthmus at Ston on southeast to cape Loviste on northwest. Peninsula is 65 km long and 3km to 7km wide. The highest point is St. Ilija, also known as Snake’s hill (961m).
